Napoli are set to announce the appointment of Antonio Conte this week after a slight delay.

According to a report by Il Mattino di Napoli via Calcio Napoli 24, Napoli are expected to officially announce Antonio Conte’s appointment as their new head coach on Tuesday or Wednesday. 

Conte will join the Partenopei on a contract worth around €7 million per season to which bonuses will added contingent upon achieving certain thresholds such as qualifying for the Champions League, potential victory of the Scudetto, and other silverware. 

Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis had put his hopes on the 54-year-old manager to turn the tide of the team following an underwhelming season and presenting one of the worst Scudetto defenses in Serie A history. 

Conte will bring the likes of Cristian Stellini as his assistant coach, Costantino Coratti as the athletic trainer, and Gabriele Oriali as team manager.
