Barcelona winger Raphinha sealed their win over Real Sociedad on Monday night, firing his spot kick into the bottom corner. He accepted the yellow card in order to dedicate his goal back home to Brazil.
The Blaugrana would end up 2-0 winners over La Real, having taken the lead in the first half through Lamine Yamal. Barcelona would have numerous chances, forcing good saves from Alex Remiro, and Raphinha himself had also cracked the inside of the post.
With Robert Lewandowski off the pitch in stoppage time, Raphinha took the penalty, and revealed a ‘pray for RS’ vest, referencing the devastating floods in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.
