Real Madrid have been utterly dominant in the opening 45 minutes of their clash with Alaves, and right before half time, they’ve managed to add a third goal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It was Jude Bellingham that scored the opening goal for Real Madrid inside the opening 10 minutes, and Vinicius Junior went on to double the advantage on the half hour mark. It’s now 3-0, and it’s come from something of an unlikely source: Federico Valverde.

It’s a brilliant strike from Valverde, who deserves that goal after an excellent season. Real Madrid have fully deserved their three-goal advantage, and they will believe that they can score more in the second half.

Carlo Ancelotti will be very pleased with his Real Madrid side’s performance, and given the nature of their lead, he could turn to his substitutes bench in the second half. The likes of Arda Guler, Luka Modric and Brahim Diaz will be desperate to be involved in this one.
