Tottenham head into this summer transfer window with plenty of work to do.
There have been signs of potential under Ange Postecoglou this season, but, ultimately, it looks as though Spurs will be set for another season without Champions League football next year.
What will Tottenham do this summer? A new striker is on the agenda, but before a new attacker is signed, their current centre-forward may be sold.
Indeed, according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, there’s a good chance that Richarlison will end up in Saudi Arabia this summer with the journalist claiming that Spurs would jump at the opportunity to sell the Brazilian.
Big chance Richarlison leaves Tottenham
Jones shared what he knows about the ‘amazing’ striker.
“I think a centre-forward is very important now. I think there’s a very good chance that Richarlison ends up in Saudi Arabia, if a good bid lands Tottenham will bite their hands off to get him gone,” Jones said.
Richarlison should stay
Every player has their price, but it’s hard to justify Tottenham selling Richarlison at this point.
Make no mistake about it, the 26-year-old has been Tottenham’s most consistent attacking threat this year.
Richarlison has found some good form in 2024, and it feels as though now is the most illogical time to sell the striker.
This time last year, Richarlison looked like a busted flush at Spurs and it would’ve been hard to bemoan a sale. However, now, the striker is starting to find a bit of rhythm and he could be a key player for Spurs next year.
Of course, if big money comes in, there is a decision to be made, but the stance of biting Saudi clubs’ hands off to sell Richarlison seems rather misguided.
