Arsenal take on Manchester United this weekend and one of Mikel Arteta’s players was spotted with some strapping on his leg in training.
The Gunners, for the first time in years, had a fully fit squad after Jurrien Timber returned from his long-term knee injury.
Arsenal are likely to have everyone available when they head to Old Trafford on Sunday, but some concerning footage about one of their key players has emerged.
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka spotted with strapping on his leg
Bukayo Saka has arguably been Arsenal’s best player this season.
The England international has scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions in what has been a brilliant individual campaign.
Saka, branded as a player who does an ‘unreal’ job by Rio Ferdinand on FIVE, got on the score sheet in the Gunners’ last game against Bournemouth, but before that happened, he suffered a nasty cut on his leg.
The Arsenal number seven was on the wrong end of a terrible tackle from Ryan Christie. The Bournemouth man deserved to be sent off but the referee and the VAR decided to let him off the hook.
Footage on the aftermath of the challenge showed that Saka was bleeding and in pain.
Now, in a training session on Tuesday ahead of the big game against Manchester United, Saka was spotted with his leg all strapped up.
However, he still took part in the full session at the Sobha Realty Training Centre in London, and it looks like he will be fit enough to play against United on Sunday.
Bukayo Saka’s Arsenal teammate missed training on Tuesday
The game against Manchester United will be a tricky one for Arsenal, especially as it’s at Old Trafford.
The Gunners have won just one game there in 18 years, which is not a good record at all. Mikel Arteta will be desperate to pick up all three points at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Saka training with strapping on his leg is slightly concerning, but what will worry Arsenal fans more is that Takehiro Tomiyasu was not involved in the session on Tuesday.
It is unclear if the Japan international was given a day off or if he has picked up a knock, but he was the only senior player missing.
Arsenal fans will get an update on the same when Arteta faces the media on Friday.
