Gary Neville has named the two Manchester United players who can really cause ‘problems’ for Manchester City.

Erik ten Hag has endured a miserable season and has come under huge scrutiny throughout.

United ended up finishing eighth in the Premier League, which is their lowest finish since the division was formed in 1992.

As it stands, they are set to miss out on European football, though, they do still have the chance to qualify for the Europa League, if they beat rivals City in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

That said, Neville has named the two United players who he’s convinced can hurt the title-winners.

Gary Neville says Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund can cause Man City ‘problems’

Neville, speaking on The Overlap YouTube channel, believes Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund can get some joy out of Manchester City this weekend.

“Is there a way of getting Bruno, McTominay, Mainoo and Amrabat into the same midfield somehow? And then having Rashford and Hojlund. There’s no doubt Rashford and Hojlund can cause Man City problems in moments in games, they can,” the 49-year-old said.

Despite Rashford’s poor season, which has seen him net just eight goals, there’s little doubting his ability and on the vast Wembley pitch, he’ll have space to run in behind City’s back line.

Hojlund has had a topsy-turvy campaign but ultimately, you’d have to say, it’s been a successful one in his first year at the club, scoring 16 goals.

Manchester United must use Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund’s pace

Rashford and Hojlund will be among the quickest players on the pitch on Saturday, so they must utilise that and draw up a game plan which focuses on balls into the channel.

Kobbie Mainoo could be pushed up a little higher and deployed as a ball-winner but also with the ability to play an incisive pass into one of the aforementioned pair.

Ten Hag will have plenty to think about over the coming days.
