Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is hoping to improve further next season and one BBC pundit has a message for Daniel Levy about the Aussie.

Postecoglou has had a troublesome week at the club and admitted that he would like to see change at the club after learning a lot in recent times.

Of course, there are some murmurings from certain supporters suggesting Postecoglou has not delivered, given his attacking football has been found out by more than one team this season.

However, the former Celtic boss still has Spurs in fifth and up until last weekend, top four was still on.

And going off that, and the fact other clubs would take him in a heartbeat, BBC pundit Nigel Reo-Coker has suggested Daniel Levy play the patience game with Ange.

Ange Postecoglou has to be given time at Tottenham

Speaking about the Tottenham manager for BBC Radio Five Live, former West Ham midfielder Reo-Coker suggested Tottenham simply have to give Postecoglou time.

“You have still got to give him (Ange Postecoglou) the opportunity to get really settled in and get more players in that would suit his style and what he wants to achieve. Then you can judge him,” Reo-Coker said.

“It’s a fantastic hire, and the wrong thing you can do is get rid of him because there would be other clubs who would snap him up in a heartbeat right now.”

Postecoglou deserves is second season with Tottenham

Realistically, what else were Tottenham expecting this season? They are in a transitional period under a new manager, and coming off a summer where they sold their best player in Harry Kane.

Postecoglou has really done a brilliant job of things all in all. And on that basis alone, of getting the team into Europe again, he deserves his chance.

The key for Spurs now is to back him from board level with players who fit into Postecoglou’s ethos.

So far, signings under ‘Big Ange’ have been steady enough without being spectacular.

Perhaps, then, a few players who will essentially be guaranteed hits at the club will go down just nicely for the Spurs boss this summer.
