One Liverpool player looks set to receive a huge contract offer from a foreign club this summer.

The Reds bid farewell to Jurgen Klopp on Sunday after over eight years at the club. The German will be a big miss, but Liverpool fans are excited over the prospect of seeing what Arne Slot will do at Anfield.

Before the season starts, Liverpool fans’ eyes will be on the transfer window, and one of their key players could soon receive a tempting offer to leave the club.

Saudi clubs have a big plan for Liverpool star Alisson Becker

Liverpool signed Alisson Becker from AS Roma in the summer of 2018 for a then-world-record fee for a goalkeeper of £66.8 million (BBC).

The Brazilian came in as a hugely talented player, but nobody would’ve expected to see him become one of the biggest reasons behind Liverpool’s success.

Alisson has been absolutely incredible for Liverpool since he joined the club.

The 31-year-old has made 263 appearances for the Reds in all competitions and played a huge part in helping them win the Premier League and the Champions League.

Liverpool fans absolutely love Alisson, and the Brazil international still remains a hugely important part of the club’s future.

However, a few clubs in Saudi Arabia have a plan to lure Alisson away after claims there’s a chance he could leave Liverpool this summer.

The Public Investment Fund, popularly known as PIF, are the owners of four of Saudi Arabia’s largest clubs – Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.

They are planning to make some big moves in the upcoming summer transfer window, and Alisson is one of their top targets.

Journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed that the Liverpool man is the ‘chosen one’ and PIF are preparing a ‘monster’ contract offer to convince him to join one of their clubs this summer.

“The PIF included Alisson Becker among the main targets for this summer. The League intends to sign a top-level goalkeeper and he has been identified as the chosen one,” Galetti tweeted.

“A monster contract is being prepared to convince him.”

Liverpool shouldn’t worry about Alisson but there are concerns about three other players

It’s always a concern when clubs in Saudi Arabia eye moves for your star players, but Liverpool shouldn’t really worry about Alisson.

The Brazilian’s contract at Anfield doesn’t expire until the summer of 2027. That puts Liverpool in a really strong position in potential transfer negotiations.

However, the Reds are in a weak spot when it comes to three other players.

Mohamed Salah, skipper Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold will all enter the final year of their contracts in July, and those situations have to be sorted as quickly as possible.

If Liverpool can’t tie them all down to new deals, they run the risk of losing those three key players – either this summer or for free in 2025.
