Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has reassured fans that his recovery from a hamstring injury won’t be prolonged after missing this week’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
The Hungarian, who suffered the setback during Liverpool’s first game of 2024 against Newcastle United, expressed optimism about a swift return, stating, “It won’t take long, and I’ll be back.
” Despite being absent for the upcoming Carabao Cup match against Fulham, Szoboszlai aims to return in time for Liverpool’s Premier League game against Bournemouth on January 21, benefiting from the winter break.
Jurgen Klopp also hinted at the possibility, saying, “After [Arsenal and Fulham], hopefully, he might be back.”
Szoboszlai, a significant addition to Liverpool’s midfield, has played a key role since his £60m transfer from RB Leipzig, contributing to the team’s success as they lead the Premier League table after 20 games.
