West Ham United are set to lose a £20m player this summer, according to a recent report.

As the season draws to a close, the transfer rumours begin to hot up and the Hammers are expected to have a busy window.

David Moyes is set to depart with Julen Lopetegui lined up as his successor and it could be a summer of change.

With that said, one West Ham player is set to leave.

Lyon set to active Said Benrahma release clause

Said Benrahma joined Ligue 1 outfit Lyon during the winter transfer window on loan from West Ham.

The 25-cap Algeria international has registered six goal contributions in 13 appearances and is making a real impact.

As such, Lyon are keen to activate his release clause this summer which stands at £12.4m, according to Competition.dz.

If the French club are to sign him on a permanent deal, The Hammers will have a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

Said Benrahma will be remembered fondly at West Ham United

Benrahma, who joined the club for £20m in 2020, will be fondly remembered by West Ham fans.

The ‘unplayable’ 28-year-old wide player has scored 24 goals across 155 appearances for the club, but perhaps none more important than his goal in the UEFA Conference League semi-final against AZ Alkmaar last year.

Former West Ham midfielder Joe Cole, speaking post-match, said that he could be remembered as a ‘hero forever’ for his sensational goalscoring display. The Irons ultimately went on to win the competition.
