Arsenal have enjoyed a solid season that could yet see them clinch the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.

The Gunners have come a long way since Mikel Arteta took the reins in 2019, as he has revamped the squad and brought the dressing room together.

Arsenal almost certainly won’t rest on their laurels in the summer transfer window as Arteta and Edu look to add the final pieces of the jigsaw to the squad.

Now, a report from Italy has claimed that the Gunners are edging closer to the potential signing of one of the Premier League’s most exciting young talents.

Tuttojuve has published a transfer report about Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, with the title saying he appears to be ‘heading towards Arsenal’.

The report goes on to claim that the 22-year-old ‘appears to be heading closer to Arsenal’, with the Gunners ready to offer €60million for his signature.

Olise is also on the radar of Juventus, but the Juve-leaning publication seems to suggest that the Italian giants may not exactly be favourites at this moment in time.

Who is Arsenal target Michael Olise?

Michael Olise has gone from strength to strength at Crystal Palace since his move from Reading back in 2021.

The 22-year-old has made 87 competitive appearances for the Eagles, registering 13 goals and 23 assists.

Olise has also been capped seven times for France’s Under-21s, and surely it won’t be long before he’s in the picture for a senior cap.

There’s no doubt he would be a fantastic option for the Gunners. He can score goals, provide assists, is a great dribbler and has considerable experience in the Premier League as well.

Admittedly, there are conflicting reports on the Olise front. While Tuttojuve seems to suggest Arsenal are closing in on him, another recent report claims Manchester United are frontrunners.

We’ll see what happens in the coming months. No doubt the likes of Arsenal and many other elite clubs will compete in a race for Olise’s services, as he really is an outstanding talent.
