Real Madrid Legend Pepe Sent Off for Punching Opponent

Veteran footballer Pepe, known for his fierce style, showed his fiery nature in a recent match for Porto against Sporting Lisbon. Despite his age of 40, Pepe still exhibits his aggressive playing style.

During the game, Porto trailed 0-1 when Pepe received a red card after a heated incident. He had already been booked for a previous challenge when preparing to take a free-kick. As he set up to kick, Pepe was nudged in the back by Sporting’s Matheus Reis.

In response, Pepe swung his arm backward and struck Reis in the face, causing the Sporting player to fall down in pain. Referee Nuno Almeida reviewed the incident on the pitch-side monitor and made the decision to send Pepe off.

This dismissal left Pepe’s team with ten players for the remainder of the match. The crowd reacted with sarcastic cheers as the experienced defender left the field due to the red card.
