Real Madrid is reportedly considering keeping manager Carlo Ancelotti at the club even after his current contract extension until 2026.
The club, appreciating Ancelotti’s years of service, is open to offering him a new role, potentially in the sporting department, following his retirement from management. Talks about this possibility have reportedly been initiated.
Real Madrid has been focusing on incorporating loyal figures into the club’s backroom staff. Emilio Butragueno holds a role, Santiago Solari, a former player and manager, recently took on the position of director of football.
Raul Gonzalez and Alvaro Arbeloa, both former players, are involved in coaching roles within the club’s academy.
Raul has been considered a potential successor for Ancelotti, and current Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso, endorsed by Ancelotti, is also seen as a possible future manager for Madrid.
