The Premier League has announced the nominees for the November Player of the Month award, featuring contenders Harry Maguire and Raheem Sterling.
Maguire, who has reclaimed his spot in the Manchester United lineup ahead of Raphael Varane, played a key role in the team’s three consecutive victories in November, maintaining a clean sheet throughout.
The former Leicester defender recorded the highest number of blocks for the month and the fifth-highest amount of clearances.
Raheem Sterling, despite being excluded from the England squad, contributed offensively in three matches for Chelsea, securing four points in November. He scored against his former team Manchester City and delivered a remarkable free-kick in the 4-1 defeat against Newcastle.
Joining the two English internationals on the Player of the Month shortlist are Jeremy Doku from Manchester City, Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, Thomas Kaminski, the goalkeeper from Luton, and Marcus Tavernier from Bournemouth.
Doku played a significant role with four assists in a decisive victory over Bournemouth, while Gordon contributed goals in Newcastle’s triumphs against Arsenal and Chelsea.
Marcus Tavernier, 24, concluded the month with two goals in a 3-1 win against Sheffield United, and Luton’s goalkeeper Kaminski made an impressive 15 saves in November.
The Player of the Month award for October was claimed by Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who scored in all three of Liverpool’s games.
Earlier in the season, Tottenham’s James Maddison and Son Heung-min secured the awards for August and September, respectively.
The winner for November will be determined through a combination of public votes and the opinions of a panel of football experts.
Fans can cast their votes for Maguire, Sterling, Doku, Gordon, Kaminski, or Tavernier on the EA Sports website until Monday, December 4, with the announcement scheduled for Friday, December 8.
