Aston Villa is an attractive place to be right now.
Stars such as Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio were lured to the Midlands last winter to join an exciting project under Unai Emery – which has seen Aston Villa reach the last eight of the UEFA Champions League and the last four of the FA Cup just over two years after the Spaniard was hired.
If Aston Villa continue in this vein, Monchi – President of Football Operations at Villa Park – should have no issues securing his targets this summer, and one player is already keen on a move.
Berke Ozer wants to join Aston Villa
A story from DHA in Turkey now states that Berke Ozer is keen to join Aston Villa this summer – and the feeling is mutual.
The Turkish news outlet add that the Eyupspor No.1 is set to be the subject of a bid from the Villans, who are planning to sit down and hold talks with the Super Lig outfit as soon as the 2024/25 campaign ends.
Aston Villa also plan to keep scouting Ozer between now and then, according to DHA.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a superb season for Eyupspor this term, keeping 11 clean sheets in 29 appearances while conceding 30 goals to help his side sit fifth in the Super Lig.

RB Leipzig – who want to take Oliver Glasner from Crystal Palace – are also keen to sign Ozer.
The man from Konak is fulfilling his potential after being labelled a wonderkid in the early stages of his career – The Sun even said Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona wanted to sign him in 2018.
Turkish glovesman could replace Robin Olsen
You may be wondering why Aston Villa want another goalkeeper when Emiliano Martinez – holder of the Yashin Trophy – is already at Villa Park.
However, Emery could soon need a new No.2 to deputise for the Argentina international, as Robin Olsen – who did well at Everton – sees his contract expire in June.
The Sweden international – who turned 35 in January – is not expected to be offered a new deal, so Ozer could well arrive as his replacement.
