Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha has dismissed rumors of considering a move to Bayern Munich in the upcoming January transfer window.
Despite a failed attempt to join Bayern in the summer, Palhinha, who signed a new contract with Fulham, continues to be linked with a potential move, with the Bundesliga club monitoring his situation, according to sporting director Christoph Freund.
The Portuguese international has clarified that he is not currently thinking about a move to Bayern Munich. When asked about the potential switch, Palhinha emphasized his current focus on Fulham’s upcoming matches in December. He stated DAZN (via iMiaSanMia): “It’s not messing with my head, I’m calm. I’m not thinking much about what will come next. I’m thinking about the seven games we have ahead of us in December, they are complicated games, there is Boxing Day, it all comes together. It’s an important month for Fulham and for me too. And that’s where my focus is. Whatever has to happen in January will happen.”
While Bayern Munich made significant efforts to secure Joao Palhinha’s signature in the summer, they are reportedly not planning a renewed bid for him in the upcoming transfer window, as per Sky Sports.
However, Fulham is said to be anticipating the potential departure of Palhinha and is considering Brazil and Fluminense midfielder Andre as a prospective replacement, as indicated by The Telegraph.
