OFFICIAL: Super Eagles Announce 25-Man Squad for AFCON 2023

The Super Eagles 25-Man Squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire has been revealed, TalkFooty reports.
On Friday, December 29, 2023, the squad was officially revealed on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) X handle.
Head coach Jose Peseiro included three goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and eight forwards in the lineup.
The selection featured South Africa-based Stanley Nwabali, NPFL star Olorunleke Ojo, along with Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi-Samuel.
The roster includes notable names such as Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, William Troost-Ekong, Ahmed Musa, Victor Boniface, Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze.
Other inclusions are Wilfred Ndidi, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Francis Uzoho, Zaidu Sanusi, Calvin Bassey, Kenneth Omeruo, Ademola Lookman, Umar Sadiq, among others.
The Eagles are set to undergo a camp in the United Arab Emirates before proceeding to Côte d’Ivoire for the upcoming tournament. The three-time AFCON champions are slated to face hosts Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, and Equatorial Guinea.
