Liverpool face Tottenham on Sunday in what, under different circumstances, could’ve been a massive game.

Indeed, just a few weeks ago it looked as though Liverpool would be in the title race and Tottenham would be breathing down Aston Villa’s necks in the race for the top four.

However, after a run of poor results for both teams, the stakes in this match have been greatly reduced.

Both teams’ recent form has made this match almost impossible to predict, but, speaking on his TikTok page, Troy Deeney has had a go at calling which way this one will go.

Troy Deeney predicts Liverpool vs Tottenham

Deeney spoke about how he sees this game going.

“Now this could be 5-5. Tottenham seem to have fallen off the boil and so have Liverpool which should make this a really good match. I’m going to go 3-1 Liverpool. 3-1 Liverpool,” Deeney said.

Liverpool vs Tottenham could be chaos

It’s so hard to predict how this game will go, but one thing is for sure, this match will be chaotic.

Spurs and Liverpool always seem to cause fireworks whenever they play. This game last season was 4-3 with two late goals from either team, while the game earlier this season saw two red cards and a remarkable VAR decision that caused debate for weeks on end.

This time, who knows what could happen? Deeney has predicted a 3-1 Liverpool win, but he’s right when he says that this match could end up being 5-5 and nobody would be surprised.

This game doesn’t have as high stakes as it looked like it would a few weeks ago, but it could still make for box office viewing.

Regardless of the result, this should be an exciting one.
