Sunshine Stars head coach Bobola Akinfolarin has talked up the team’s South West derby victory over Ikorodu City.

The Harmony Boys defeated Ikorodu City 4-3 in a keenly contested encounter at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne on Saturday.

Alao Danlami bagged a brace for Sunshine Stars with Liam Ahmadu and Peter Awosanmi scoring the other goals.

Shola Adelani (brace) and Emmanuel Solomon were on target for Ikorodu City.

“It is not a bad result because in the first round we struggled to score goals despite creating enough chances,” Akinfolarin told Sunshine Stars media.

“As you could see, we scored as many as four goals in one game yet it is still work in progress.

“We have seen our lapses, trust us to go back and work on them.”
