Contract negotiations continued into winter, resulting in the new deal, which includes a release clause.

The lowest known figure for this clause is €120m, with potential increases based on various conditions.

Reports in November indicated Chelsea’s interest in Osimhen, testing Napoli with a January bid. The 24-year-old is a prime target for Chelsea, who have considered other strikers like Ivan Toney and Santiago Gimenez.
