Manchester United may enter January without a new striker, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting of Bayern Munich on their radar if a forward is pursued.
While manager Erik ten Hag desires additional goal-scoring firepower, United’s focus is currently on outgoing transfers. The club had explored Timo Werner’s availability in November, but no formal pursuit ensued, and Werner joined Tottenham on loan.
Choupo-Moting, whose Bayern contract ends in the summer, is considered a viable target due to potential economic feasibility.
However, no advanced negotiations have taken place.
United also shows interest in Serhou Guirassy, currently with Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations, but indications suggest he might stay at Stuttgart.
Looking ahead, Jonathan David is internally mentioned as a long-term target, with his contract at Lille expiring in 2025, presenting a potential summer transfer opportunity.
