The 23-year-old player has faced exclusion from Old Trafford since September, having declined to apologize to manager Erik ten Hag.

Sancho, who publicly expressed feeling like a ‘scapegoat’ after being omitted from the squad against Arsenal, has been seeking a potential loan return to Borussia Dortmund.

Multiple sources in both England and Germany reveal that active discussions are underway between the two clubs.

While Dortmund may need to contribute significantly to Sancho’s salary for the move, it remains uncertain if United will pursue a replacement signing.

Reports suggest a potential deal could be finalized by the end of this week. Although other Bundesliga teams and the Saudi Pro League have shown interest, a return to the club where Sancho initially gained prominence seems the most likely outcome.

“During his four-year stint at Dortmund, Sancho made 137 appearances across all competitions, scoring 50 goals.

His contributions included securing the DFB-Pokal and DFB-Supercup, establishing him as one of the most dynamic young wingers globally.

Despite being on United’s transfer radar for nearly two years, he joined the club in 2021 in a deal valued at up to £73m.

Initially brought in to address issues on the right wing, Sancho swiftly shifted to the left flank, a position he excelled in during his Dortmund tenure.

Unfortunately, his time at Manchester United has not met expectations, with inconsistent appearances and struggles to secure a spot in the starting lineup.

After four months of watching from the sidelines as United faced European exits and a decline in the Premier League standings, Sancho’s stint with the Red Devils appears to be ending on a disappointing note.”
