Man Utd Scouts Monitor Bundesliga Star Guirassy in Bayern Munich Duel

Manchester United sent scouts to observe striker Serhou Guirassy during Stuttgart’s 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Sunday, according to sources.

Guirassy’s remarkable season, marked by 16 goals, drew attention, with United, Fulham, West Ham, and Milan reportedly having representatives present.

Despite Harry Kane’s two-goal performance for Bayern, Guirassy faced a tough defensive challenge from centre-backs Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano, limiting him to just one shot.

According to previous reports by 90min, Serhou Guirassy’s representatives are optimistic about securing a move to a Premier League club in the January transfer window. Manchester United, along with Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, and Wolves, have been approached for a potential deal, and Bournemouth, Brentford, and Crystal Palace have scouted him this season.

Manchester United’s struggle for a seasoned striker has been evident, having scored only 18 goals in 17 Premier League games this season. While summer signing Rasmus Hojlund performed well in the Champions League group stages with five goals, he is yet to score in domestic competition.

The 27-year-old Guirassy has been prolific for Stuttgart, scoring 32 goals in 41 matches since initially joining on loan at the beginning of the 2022/23 season before making a permanent move in the recent summer transfer window.

Guirassy is expected to join the Guinea squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, commencing on January 13, and participating nations are permitted to call up players two weeks before that date.
