Pep Guardiola sees Palhinha as an ideal addition to City’s midfield, especially with Kalvin Phillips expected to depart soon to accommodate the new signing.

Phillips, aged 28, faced speculation about leaving Etihad Stadium in the summer. He joined from Leeds in 2022 but faced limited playing time. Despite this, he opted to stay at the club, aiming to compete for a spot in the team.
