Luis Suarez Finalizes Move to Inter Miami for MLS Reunion

Luis Suarez is poised to join Inter Miami soon, with sources confirmed that the deal is finalized.

In June, 90min revealed Suarez’s desire to reunite with former teammates Messi and Busquets in Florida. Although he initially aimed to join in the summer, contractual obligations with Gremio kept him tied.

Despite his Gremio contract extending to 2024, a release clause was activated by both Suarez and Miami.

Speculation about his arrival heightened after coach Renato Gaucho disclosed Suarez’s last game with the team. Suarez bid farewell on social media, expressing gratitude for the memorable experience at Arena Do Gremio.

Sources now affirm to 90min that his departure from Gremio will precede a move to Inter Miami, with the official announcement expected when the Primary Transfer Window opens on December 11.

Jordi Alba, Busquets, Messi, and Suarez last played together in 2020 for FC Barcelona before Suarez’s move to Atletico Madrid. The quartet, instrumental in breaking La Liga records, winning ten trophies, will reunite in Major League Soccer.

Their goal is to secure Inter Miami’s first-ever league trophy after clinching the inaugural Leagues Cup in 2023.
