Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has confirmed that Dominik Szoboszlai will be unavailable for at least the next two matches.
The midfielder is expected to miss both the Emirates FA Cup tie against Arsenal this Sunday and the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Fulham next midweek.
“I can confirm it’s not a potential injury – it is an injury. Muscle, hamstring. But now we have to see,” Klopp was quoted on liverpoolfc.com at his pre-Arsenal press conference.
“Dom is very positive, doesn’t have a lot of pain but we have to wait a little bit. So, no chance obviously for Sunday, not for Wednesday. No.
“And then we will see, after that hopefully he might be back but we don’t know.”
In other news, Klopp mentioned that there are no new injury concerns as Liverpool prepares for their upcoming match at Emirates Stadium this weekend.
“Besides that, nothing else really happened,” said Klopp. “The rest were yesterday available and fully fit, so let’s hope that’s today the same and we will have to make a choice.”
