Liverpool ‘Are Out Of Race’ To Sign Ryan Gravenberch After ‘Ending Khephren Thuram Interest’

Liverpool have reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch just hours after ending their pursuit of Khephren Thuram.
Liverpool have already bolstered their midfield with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai this summer, with the latter putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Reds after the club triggered his £60m release clause.
Jurgen Klopp isn’t finished there, though, with the German eager to add a third midfielder to his ranks as he continues his summer rebuild.
However, it is now unlikely to be Thuram after the club allegedly stuck a pin in their pursuit of the Nice midfielder after signing Szoboszlai, with the Merseyside club after a No.6 type of player instead.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have also put and end to their interest in Bayern’s Gravenberch.
The 21-year-old struggled to nail down a place in the team under Thomas Tuchel since making the switch from Ajax last summer.
In turn, he has been rumoured with a move away from the Allianz Arena in search of regular first team football. But it seems that won’t be at Anfield.

Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg broke the news on Twitter, claiming that the Reds are “definitely” out of the race for the midfielder, despite the fact that talks between the club and the player’s management took place.
“News Gravenberch: Liverpool is definitely OUT of the race! But talks between the club and the player’s management took place,” he tweeted.
However, Plettenberg did stress that Bayern would be willing to sell the Dutchman this summer, should they receive a suitable offer.
Instead, Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia is now considered one of the priority targets for Klopp, with the club ready to rival Arsenal and Manchester United for the 19-year-old’s signature.
