A number of La Liga goalkeepers have been linked with leaving their current club during the upcoming summer transfer window. One of those is Villarreal’s Filip Jorgensen, who is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs, including the likes of Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Speaking to Tipsbladet (via Marca) in his native Denmark, Jorgensen admitted that he is intrigued by the links, although he will remain committed to Villarreal until there is anything agreed.

“It’s fun. You can tell I’ve done something good and I’ve done it well. It’s difficult to say (what will happen). I just want to get better every day and do the best I can. There is no definite plan. If something good comes, we can talk about it and see what’s best for me, for Villarreal and for everyone involved.”

Jorgensen also spoke highly of Villarreal manager Marcelino Garcia Toral, who has made a big impact since taking charge earlier this year.

“He’s a tough coach, but also honest. He speaks his mind. He’s a very good coach and I really like that he coaches me. He asks for a lot of discipline and hard work. I learned that from him – that you always have to give a little more to improve in training and in matches.”
