The market is heating up for Serie A side Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson as Juventus look to outmanoeuvre Inter in the transfer battle.

According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus are aiming to send an official bid to Genoa to secure the services of Albert Gudmundsson this summer. The Bianconeri will have to battle it out with current Scudetto holders Inter for the Iceland international.

Juventus are planning a Sandro Tonali-like proposal and in the case of Gudmundsson, it will be landing the player on an expensive loan deal of €10 million with the right-to-buy clause set at €15 million. The Nerazzurri are still probing the circumstances and are yet to submit their bid.

It is undetermined whether Genoa will accept Juventus’ formula of signing the player as they might want a permanent transfer for Gudmundsson to extract a significant fee.

The 27-year-old mustered 37 appearances last season, scoring 16 goals and registering five assists across the Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
