Jurgen Klopp has delivered injury updates on Kostas Tsimikas and Luis Diaz following their setbacks in Saturday’s draw with Arsenal.

Tsimikas, standing in for the injured Andy Robertson, endured a broken collarbone after an accidental collision with Klopp on the touchline.

The manager confirmed the extent of the injury, stating, “He [Tsimikas] broke his collarbone at least. That’s really bad for us.”

The incident occurred in the 35th minute when Tsimikas was brought down by Bukayo Saka, colliding with Klopp as he fell off the pitch.

Joe Gomez stepped in as an emergency left-back for the remainder of the match, and Klopp’s updates hint at potential reshuffling in the defensive lineup.

With both Tsimikas and Robertson facing injuries, Gomez might continue in the left-back role for an extended period. Stay tuned for further developments.

In addition to Tsimikas, Luis Diaz also appeared to suffer an injury during Saturday’s draw. Klopp addressed concerns about Diaz’s condition, stating, “He has pain; it was knee on knee, and in that moment, we wanted to change twice, and then Lucho was down.

Initially, we considered waiting to see if Lucho needed to come off, but then we decided to change all three players because now we don’t have to wait to assess Lucho’s condition, and that’s what we did.

“Lucho informed me of ‘little pain,’ and the physios weren’t too alarmed, but uncertainties remain.

With a game in three days, the quick turnaround adds uncertainty, so we’ll have to wait and see. I don’t know.” Stay tuned for further updates on Diaz’s injury status.
