Federico Chiesa is on the verge of joining Liverpool, with the Italian international set to become Arne Slot’s first real arrival as manager of the Reds.

Chiesa landed in Liverpool yesterday with the Juventus star likely to be announced as a new Anfield player within the next 24 hours, with excitement building around what the Juventus winger can do in the Premier League.

A top performer when fully fit, the attacker will add a lot of depth for the Reds’ forward ranks, with Liverpool moving for Chiesa due to the 26-year-old’s pedigree and versatility.

And details on how Chiesa’s bonuses at Liverpool will be paid out have now emerged.

Chiesa’s bonuses dependent on Liverpool winning major honours

According to Sky Sports News reporter Lyall Thomas, Chiesa’s bonuses at Liverpool will be mostly dependent on Liverpool winning the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, a standard approach for most top signings.

Thomas wrote on Twitter: “Federico Chiesa’s medical is ongoing this morning. Told the bonuses in the deal are predominantly dependent on Liverpool winning the Champions League and Premier League.”

With Liverpool securing the signing of Chiesa for as little as £10m, there’s a real chance that the Italian winger could have a higher bonus package than other players in Slot’s squad this season.

And with the Reds already perfect this year in the Premier League, there’s every chance that Chiesa’s title-winning bonus could be paid out, a cost Liverpool will be more than willing to make if it means major silverware.

Chiesa can help Liverpool to the Premier League and Champions League

Chiesa comes to Liverpool with a big reputation from Italy and a lot to prove after three years of inconsistent form and injuries suffered with Juventus and the Azzurri.

Yet if Chiesa can hit the ground running with Liverpool, there’s a real chance that the attacker could help the Reds to a Premier League and Champions League title this season, with the odds in the Anfield side’s favour.

Indeed, Liverpool know they are landing a top signing in Chiesa, and if the attacker can stay fit, there’s every chance that the forward can play a key role in bringing major silverware back to the red half of Merseyside this season.
