Jadon Sancho Records Assist in His Second Borussia Dortmund Debut.

The winger recently secured a loan move to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United, where he last contributed an assist in May.

Following a public disagreement with United boss Erik ten Hag that led to his exclusion from the first team, Sancho returned to his former club to rejuvenate his form and steer his career back on course.

Making a second-half appearance in Saturday’s triumph against Darmstadt, Sancho, within just 20 minutes, showcased his impact.

Taking charge down the right, his precise cut-back reached Marco Reus, who comfortably slotted the ball into an empty net, contributing to Dortmund’s 3-0 victory.

During his initial stint with Dortmund, Sancho accumulated an impressive record of 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances.

Since his return to the black and yellow colors, he has swiftly added to these statistics.

Contrastingly, Sancho’s form at Manchester United was less prolific, managing only 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances.

Despite earlier-season allegations of poor discipline and work ethic, the winger has garnered support from various quarters. Former United boss Ralf Rangnick acknowledged having no issues with Sancho, and Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke firmly backed the 23-year-old, stating, “Jadon has no problem with discipline. I don’t know who thought that up.”
