Tottenham Hotspur will host Manchester City for their final home game of the Premier League season tomorrow night.

Ange Postecoglou’s men still have an outside chance of pipping Aston Villa to fourth place, provided the Villains fail to beat Liverpool on Monday evening.

Tottenham got back to winning ways against Burnley on Saturday but a Villa victory tonight would resign them to the Europa League next season. 

Spurs’ clash against City is also set to be a bizarre evening for supporters given the fact that should Tottenham pick up a result, it could lead to Arsenal winning the Premier League title. Kai Havertz admitted yesterday that he will be Spurs’ ‘biggest fan’ on Tuesday night.

But Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker feel City will have too much for Postecoglou’s side on the night.

Shearer and Lineker predict Tottenham vs Man City

Speaking on The Rest Is Football, Lineker admitted he ‘fears the worst’ for Spurs and can see plenty of goals on Tuesday evening.

“It’ll be an interesting game against City,” he said. “I can’t see anything but a few goals with Spurs’s high line and Haaland with the way he runs in behind.

“I kind of fear the worst a little bit for Tottenham and Arsenal a little bit of course.”

Shearer agreed with the former Spurs striker but added that he can see City scoring most of the goals tomorrow night.

“I think there will be plenty of goals and probably most of them from Man City,” the Newcastle United legend added.

City’s record at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

It’s no secret that City have struggled at Spurs’ new stadium over the past five years.

Pep Guardiola’s side have picked up just one win in six visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, losing the other five.

Their only win at Spurs came back in January in the FA Cup as Nathan Ake’s header handed them a 1-0 victory.

Ake’s effort remains the only goal City have scored at Spurs’ new ground and they have conceded seven times during this period.

City will certainly be hoping that their latest display at Tottenham will spell an end to a miserable run in north London, while Arsenal supporters will likely be encouraged by the past few years.
