Inter Miami to Face Newell’s Old Boys in Emotionally Charged Preseason Friendly

Inter Miami has revealed a preseason friendly against Newell’s Old Boys on February 15 at DRV PNK Stadium, marking their sixth friendly before the 2024 MLS season.

The match holds significance for Lionel Messi, facing his boyhood club, and head coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino, an all-time appearance holder for Newell’s Old Boys.

Martino expressed excitement, stating, “It will be a special match due to everything Newell’s Old Boys means to me.

” Chief Soccer Officer Chris Henderson is pleased with the home match, anticipating a competitive 2024 season.

Miami’s preseason includes international fixtures, starting with El Salvador on January 19 and concluding with Vissel Kobe on February 7 after facing notable teams like Al Hilal and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

The team, featuring FC Barcelona alumni Messi, Martino, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, and soon Luis Suarez, aims for a successful season ahead.
