Ange Postecoglou dropped a transfer hint following his side’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City last night.
Tottenham Hotspur’s top-four aspirations were slashed yesterday, as City grinded out a battling away performance in North London.
Defeat for Spurs meant Aston Villa sealed qualification to the illustrious Champions League and now Postecoglou and club chiefs will have one eye on the fast-approaching summer transfer window.
That said, speaking post-match, he hinted at his transfer plans.

Ange Postecoglou wants big change at Tottenham Hotspur
Postecoglou appeared to hint at big change this summer transfer window, as he admitted his side have a ‘fair way to go’.
“It’s fair to say there is still a fair way to go. We have had two windows, and this window will be important. We need to keep strengthening. The players we have brought in this year have been really positive for us and we need to replicate that in the next window,” the 58-year-old said.
The Australian also revealed that both internally and externally, the club has fragile foundations.
“I think the last 48 hours have revealed the foundations are fairly fragile. Outside the club, inside the club, everywhere,” Postecoglou said.
“It has been an interesting exercise. It’s just my observations. I’m not going to tell you more. You can make your own assessment of what happened.”

Ange Postecoglou could be hinting at winning mentality
It was an unusual atmosphere last night, as a win for Tottenham would’ve put rivals Arsenal in pole position to win the title.
Evidently, Postecoglou didn’t care about that and was just desperate to win to keep top-four hopes alive, so perhaps his post-match comments hinted towards his frustration at the lack of a winning mentality.
Anyhow, a telling summer window awaits the former Celtic man.
