Lucas Bergvall is set to join up with the Tottenham squad this summer.

The Swedish midfielder was a late signing for Tottenham in the winter transfer window, and, by all accounts, he’s going to be a bit of a star.

Alasdair Gold went to watch Bergvall play this week over in Sweden, and he made an interesting observation about the player after interviewing him in person.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Gold stated that he was taken aback by Bergvall’s size after seeing him in person for the first time, claiming that despite the fact he’s just 18 years old, he’s seriously developed physically.

Lucas Bergvall is developed physically

Gold spoke about Bergvall and his size.

“He’s got star quality. He’s got that little something about him. You can see it. I was waiting after the game and observing the way he was. He looks like a star. Boy band looks, a poster boy of the sport Sweden want him to become,” Gold said.

“He’s a big lad, that’s what I noticed. I’m 6 ft and he’s above that, he’s broad, really physically developed. I noticed that in the game as well, not easily pushed off the ball.”

Lucas Bergvall ready for the Premier League

This is exactly what you want to hear about a player who is getting ready to come to the Premier League.

So often, when a young player comes to England, their biggest issue is the physicality of the league.

You can have all of the talent in the world, but if you’re not strong enough, you’re going to struggle.

Luckily, it sounds as though Bergvall won’t have this problem, and at the age of just 18, he still has plenty of room to grow physically as well.

Tottenham might have a real gem on their hands here.
