Manchester United have now secured a 13th FA Cup success following a remarkable 2-1 win over Manchester City at Wembley.

Goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo earned the Red Devils revenge for last season’s FA Cup final defeat against the Citizens, and also a spot in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League.

Manchester United have also now received a nice chunk of prize money from the FA…

FA Cup prize money

Not only have Manchester United received some prize money from the FA after defeating Manchester City, but there is also a bit more cash coming the way of Old Trafford from UEFA, due to the fact Erik ten Hag secured a spot in the 2024/25 Europa League Group Stage with this victory.

Funnily enough, UEFA are actually paying out more.

As seen on the FA’s official website, the winner of the FA Cup only receives £2m, which is just enough to pay Mason Mount’s £250,000-a-week salary for two months.
