Arsenal saw off Bournemouth today as they continued to press for the title and Kai Havertz has lauded one of his teammates.

Havertz once again played a key role for Arsenal in the win as he won the crucial penalty in the first half that saw Bukayo Saka fire in to give the Gunners the lead.

For Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, it was another workmanlike performance that saw them get over the line without every really getting into the highest of gears.

Of course, Arsenal needed their key men in big moments. Declan Rice once again showed why he has been so crucial, while the likes of Havertz and Saka also contributed in big ways.

As we know, Havertz has enjoyed a massive resurgence in form in recent weeks. But instead of taking the plaudits, the German instead found time to praise one of his teammates, Bukayo Saka.

Kai Havertz says Bukayo Saka is just unbelievable

Speaking on TNT Sports after the game, Havertz admitted he sees it everyday in training from Saka and says that England are a lucky team to have him.

“He’s unbelievable and shows it every week. I think he’s 21 or 22 and I’ve never seen a player like this. England are very lucky. He’s hungry every day and if you see him in training he’s special,” Havertz said.

Saka is the man for the big occasion at Arsenal

Given Saka missed such a crucial penalty for England in the last Euros, the fact he is now the main taker at Arsenal sums up his character.

As Havertz says here, Saka is clearly a hungry young man who wants to get better and better with every passing game.

Today, when his team needed him, he kept his cool to slam home and put them well on their way to a crucial three points in the Premier League.

Being lauded by fans is one thing for a player. But when Champions League winners like Kai Havertz are singling you out as well, then you’re doing something right.

Saka, then, is firmly the main man at Arsenal right now.
