Harry Kane Earns Only £45,000 for Premier League Milestone, Beating Sergio Aguero

Harry Kane was rewarded just £45,000 for beating Sergio Aguero to a Premier League milestone.

The England captain has seamlessly settled into life at Bayern Munich, since completing a summer move from Tottenham last summer.

Kane, who is just the third Englishman to play for Bayern, has now scored a Bundesliga record 18 goals in his opening 12 league games for the Bavarian giants.

Moreover, he is also the first English player to score 18 times in one season in the Bundesliga.

Harry Kane received £45,000 after achieving a Premier League milestone over Sergio Aguero. Since joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham last summer, the England captain has adapted well. He’s made history in the Bundesliga by scoring 18 goals in his first 12 league games for Bayern, setting a new record. Kane is also the first English player to achieve this 18-goal feat in a Bundesliga season.

As per a Mail Online article from February 2015, Harry Kane secured a five-year contract valued at £45,000 per week after scoring 20 goals in 33 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur while he was an England under-21 player.

At the time of receiving the new deal, Harry Kane was the fastest player to reach 20 goals that season, outpacing Manchester City’s Aguero (with 19 goals) and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez (with 18) in all competitions.

However, despite Tottenham offering him a substantial contract extension that The Guardian stated would notably enhance his £200,000-per-week earnings, Kane departed the club this summer.

Seemingly, Harry Kane made the right move leaving, as he swiftly adapted to life at Bayern.

In an interview with Four Four Two, Kane mentioned, “It felt amazing to make my debut.”

“The atmosphere there was something special, and I’ve since realised that wasn’t a one-off. German football has some of the most passionate fans I’ve seen. I remember waiting to come on, hearing the drums and looking at all the banners and flags. It gave me goosebumps.

“The fan culture in Germany blew me away from the start. Those first few days felt like joining a new school. Putting faces to names, introducing yourself, everyone asking how you are. I’ve faced a lot of the lads in the past, so it was nice to get to know them all personally. It was a bit surreal, but I was itching to get going.”
