Newcastle United still feel they can land one of the most in-demand young players in Europe this summer ahead of a host of clubs.
The Magpies are looking to bring in new signings over the summer and will target players to improve both the first XI and club as a whole.
That means that as well as big-name signings, Eddie Howe’s team will also be looking at up and coming young players as well.

And according to TBR Football sources, Newcastle are confident they can sign one of the Championship’s very best teenagers.
Newcastle confident they can sign Chris Rigg from Sunderland
TBR Football understands that Newcastle remain hopeful of winning the battle to land Sunderland star Chris Rigg.
The 16-year-old midfielder is considered one of the top prospects in English football and is already a part of the first-team set-up at the Stadium of Light.
However, Sunderland are understood to be fighting a losing battle to try and keep him, as the Premier League’s elite are queuing up to try and land him.
Despite being part of the first-team group at Sunderland, the departure of Tony Mowbray was believed to have been a blow to him and it is understood he is ready to leave this summer.
Rigg’s family are known to be avid Newcastle fans and they would dearly love for him to move to St James’ Park – although they will leave Rigg to make the decision.

Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Aston Villa have all put their cases to the camp of the teenager.
Sunderland remain hopeful they can persuade him to stay -but it is increasingly likely he will depart Wearside.
Newcastle, then, will need to move quickly to get this one over the line as the summer approaches.
Quite whether it will all come down to who Rigg fancies moving to, remains to be seen. But he’s likely to have big money chucked at him and a lot of influence from the outside.
Lauded by Tony Mowbray as an ‘amazing‘ talent, Rigg’s future is one to watch in the summer for sure.
