Endo sad to be leaving Liverpool ahead of Asian Cup

Wataru Endo, a midfielder for Liverpool, feels sad about leaving Anfield to play in the Asian Cup. Many Liverpool fans were confused when the club spent £16 million on the 30-year-old player last summer. But despite a slow start, Endo has become an important player under Jurgen Klopp.

Recently, he played in Liverpool’s last six Premier League matches, winning over critics. However, Endo’s momentum has been interrupted because he’s joining the Asian Cup. This means he might miss more than a month of Premier League games if Japan performs well.

Endo expressed his desire to stay at Liverpool, but as a national team player and captain, it’s crucial for him to participate. Endo is focused on doing his best with the national team, aiming for good results at the Asian Cup. However, this might mean staying longer in Qatar.

Despite his absence, Endo is confident in Liverpool’s performance. He mentioned that another player, Alexis Mac Allister, has returned, allowing him to concentrate on the national team. Endo hopes to return with the Asian Cup title, believing Liverpool can do well even without him and Mo Salah.
