On Saturday, Real Madrid will go for their 15th title in the Champions League when they take on Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley Stadium. Eduardo Camavinga is set to start in London, with an injury to starting pivot Aurelien Tchouameni ruling him out of Carlo Ancelotti’s thoughts.

Ahead of the final, Camavinga spoke to El Espanol. The French midfielder expects a tough battle, dismissing Real Madrid’s tag as pre-match favourites.

“I hope to win. I’m sure it’s going to be a tough game because Dortmund are a team that has history. They’re a good team. If he’s in the final, he’s got quality as well. I think it’s going to be a tough game.

“I’m sure we’re favourites because we’re used to playing these games. Real Madrid are always the favourites, but what happens on the pitch is something else.”

Camavinga also believes that the biggest threat to Real Madrid’s 15th title will come from two main areas.

“I think Sancho (is their most dangerous player), but they also have defenders who are very good aerially, and I’m sure it’s going to be difficult from set pieces. We have to be focused, concentrated, and everything will work out.”

Camavinga will be a crucial player for Real Madrid in Saturday’s final. He will partner Toni Kroos in the centre of the park in the German’s final match for Los Blancos, and if they are both on their game, it promises to be a very difficult evening for Dortmund.
