Tottenham have had an up and down season to say the least.
Spurs had an electric start to this Premier League campaign, but in recent months they have completely collapsed.
Many of Tottenham’s key players have declined, and one player who hasn’t been at his best is Pedro Porro.
The Spaniard has been wildly inconsistent as of late, and speaking on TalkSPORT, Alan Brazil has noted just how frustrated he gets when he watches Porro play.
Alan Brazil wound up by Pedro Porro
The pundit spoke about the £39m man and how much he annoys him.
“That Porro does my head in. I’m not kidding, ‘porridge’ I call him. He does my head in. He is so frustrating, he gets in great positions and I’m like, ‘what have you done that for?” Brazil said.
Pedro Porro is frustrating
Brazil is right, Porro may well be one of the most frustrating players in the Premier League.
The Spaniard is clearly talented, but, for some reason, his decision-making appears to be from another planet, and not in a good way.
Porro can make these boneheaded decisions at both ends of the pitch. Sometimes he shoots when there’s no shot on, sometimes he takes too long on the ball, and sometimes he just runs up the pitch when there’s no attack on.
Earlier this season, it looked as though Ange Postecoglou had cracked the Porro code and turned him into a very talented, functioning right-back, but now, he seems to have gone completely off the boil again, and he often looks like a player who hasn’t received top-level coaching.
Porro has what it takes to be a fantastic player in the Premier League, but, at the moment, he’s not really showing the best side of his game on a consistent basis.
