Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson have now shown their delight at news coming from Tottenham.

It is decision time at Spurs after Ange Postecoglou‘s debut campaign in N17 came to an end, with the Australian now set to decide who he wants to keep in north London, and who he wants sold.

A story by the Telegraph mentions that Emerson Royal is one player the 58-year-old is keen to offload.

Now – on the contrary – a decision has been made in regards to keeping someone at Tottenham, with Brennan Johnson and Destiny Udogie pleased by the outcome…

Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson react as Brandon Austin signs new contract

The Spurs duo have expressed their delight after Tottenham announced that Brandon Austin had signed a new contract.

The 25-year-old’s previous terms were set to expire within weeks, although Spurs have now tied the man from Hemel Hempstead down to a new deal running until the summer of 2029.

After Austin shared the news on Instagram, Udogie wrote “yes brotherrrr” in response, while Johnson added “😍😍My guyyyyy” in the comments section.

Micky van de Ven also seems pleased by the announcement, as the Dutchman simply replied “😍” to the Englishman’s Instagram post.

Clearly – despite never making a senior appearance for Tottenham – the Spurs No.40 is a popular figure around Hotspur Way.

Austin was named on the bench in 14 consecutive Premier League outings to end the 2023/24 campaign after Fraser Forster suffered a serious injury, and Postecoglou seems content enough with the backup glovesman after tying him down until 2029.

Alfie Whiteman could depart

After Tottenham showed faith in Austin, Alfie Whiteman could be sold with just 12 months remaining on his contract.

The 25-year-old was named on the bench alongside Austin for the season finale against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, which ended in a 3-0 win to Spurs.

However, it feels unlikely that Postecoglou will want all four of Guglielmo Vicario, Forster, Austin and Whiteman in his goalkeeping department next season, so the latter could be offloaded – especially after there was talk of a loan exit in January.
