Scottish giants Celtic have now pegged back another offer from Atalanta for midfielder Matt O’Riley, having rejected two of them in the past already.

La Dea have been heavily linked with the Dane and Juventus have also drawn links, but Atalanta seem more more insistent in their chase for the player.

Gianluca di Marzio has now confirmed that Atalanta’s third offer was at €17 million and La Dea are yet to reach any financial agreement with the Hoops regarding a transfer.

Celtic do not feel that the offer is sufficient enough and in the meantime, English side Southampton have also been linked with the midfielder, who impressed with his goalscoring and creation from the heart of the park last season. He scored 18 times and racked up 13 assists and he is seen as a potential replacement for Aleksey Miranchuk, who has joined Atlanta United already on a permanent deal, with Teun Koopmeiners still linked with JUventus.
