Bayern Munich to Sign Eric Dier from Tottenham for €4m

Bayern Munich is set to acquire center-back Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur for €4m, marking the end of Dier’s almost decade-long association with Spurs.

Despite being a prominent figure during Mauricio Pochettino’s era, Dier has experienced a significant reduction in playing time under manager Ange Postecoglou.

The deal, confirmed by Sky Sports, includes personal terms already agreed upon, and Dier is poised for a medical examination.

Dier expressed excitement about joining Bayern Munich, where he will reunite with former teammate Harry Kane.

Thomas Tuchel acknowledged the imminent move and highlighted Dier’s versatility in defensive roles.

Bayern Munich aims to bolster its defensive options due to the absence of players like Kim Min-jae and Matthijs de Ligt. The club had pursued Radu Dragusin but was outbid by Tottenham in a deal involving €30m and Djed Spence on loan.
