It has been almost one month since Hansi Flick was appointed as Barcelona manager, succeeding the sacked Xavi Hernandez. The former Bayern Munich and Germany head coach has already begun work in the Catalan capital, ahead of pre-season kicking off in the next couple of weeks.

The 10th of July is the exact date for Barcelona’s non-international players to return for the start of pre-season training, and at this point, Hansi Flick will speak as manager for the very first time. As per MD, he will attend an in-house interview, which will be broadcasted on the Barca One platform.

Flick’s first press conference as Barcelona manager is scheduled for the 28th of July, just before he and his first team squad fly to the United States for their annual pre-season tour. At this point, the German manager will speak to the press for the very first time.

Being someone that has not been associated with the club before, Barcelona want to avoid exposing Flick to the media until he is comfortable in the day-to-day running of the first team, which makes sense. Regardless, it won’t be long until he speaks.
