Barcelona are determined to secure as much money as possible for their summer transfer efforts. Getting unwanted players off the books is one of the main objectives for sporting director Deco, even if it’s only a temporary exit.

One player that Barcelona are desperate to part ways with is Clement Lenglet, who has no future in Catalonia. It’s almost certain that a loan move will have to be settled for this summer, given that the only clubs interested in a transfer are from Saudi Arabia – where the French defender has no interest in going.

So far, interest in Lenglet’s services has been low, but that looks like it has changed. According to Takvim (via Sport), Besiktas are very interested in a move for Lenglet. They’re open to securing his services on loan (while paying a significant portion of his wages), or they would also welcome a free transfer.

Barcelona would not mind letting Lenglet leave without a transfer fee – they’re just desperate to save his wages. They did try to discuss a mutual contract termination, but the player rejected it profusely. Nevertheless, he could still end up leaving anyway in a way that suits the Catalan giants.
