Ashley Phillips Joins Plymouth Argyle on Loan from Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed that defender Ashley Phillips will be on loan to Championship side Plymouth Argyle for the remainder of the season.

Despite joining Spurs from Blackburn Rovers in August and regularly making matchday squads, the 18-year-old hasn’t debuted for the club. With Spurs seeking another senior center-back, Phillips seizes the opportunity to join Plymouth.

Currently 18th in the Championship, Plymouth recently appointed Ian Foster as their head coach.

Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou emphasizes the need for center-back depth, and discussions continue for potential signings, including talks with Genoa for Radu Dragusin and a loan deal for Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
