Arsenal received €76 million (£65 million) before January’s transfer window. They secured a spot in the Champions League last-16 by dominating Lens with a 6-0 win at home.

Łukasz Bączek, a reputable source, mentioned they earned this amount in bonuses for playing in the Champions League.

The €76 million (£65 million) comprises various amounts: €15.64 million (£13.5 million) from ‘starting fees’, €25.01 million (£21.5 million) due to their ‘UEFA Coefficient 10-year Ranking’, €10.6 million (£9.15 million) from ‘Market pool 1’, €4.23 million (£3.65 million) from ‘Market pool 2’, €9.6 million (£8.28 million) for qualifying for the Round of 16, and an additional €11.2 million (£9.66 million) bonus for their four wins.

Arsenal’s financial gain from the Champions League appears to have given them extra funds for the January transfer window.

Additionally, reports from Record (via Football365) suggest that both Arsenal and Premier League rivals Liverpool are examining the possibilities, both financial and sporting, to attract Kylian Mbappe to the Premier League.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he is anticipated to leave the club as a free agent.

The Frenchman had the option to extend his deal until 2025 last summer, but opted not to do so, informing the Ligue 1 club of his decision in a letter.

While it is widely expected that Mbappe will join Real Madrid at the end of his contract, Arsenal and Liverpool have allegedly entered the fray.

But according to the Record report, Mbappe has admired Liverpool from afar and is more likely to sign for the Anfield club than Arsenal.
